I mainly fish in Keuka Lake, NY. There are Bass, Trout, Catfish, Carp, and Panfish like Rock Bass, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, etc.
I fish for Rock Bass most of the time off of my kayak and I use side imaging to help me find spots where they may be located. I also do the same strategy with Largemouth and Smallmouth. And with Lake Trout, I go in about 150 feet deep water close to the middle of the lake and then I just jig spoons and similar baits/lures at around 40 to 60 feet deep. I use sonar to see where my lure is using the flasher or traditional sonar and then I am able to see what depth the fish are and I jig around that depth.
